THE PROFILE OF HATTA
HATTA is not an apathetic trade union, which cares only to safeguard the benefits of its members. It is a vivid organization, as well, aiming at the development and promotion of the Greek National Tourism and contributes in the best possible way to upgrade the tourism of the country.
THE PHILOSOPHY OF HATTA
Tourism hosts the busy person of modern life and at the same time caters and entertains both the guests and the hosts. The act of tourism imposes quality offer of services in all levels. Otherwise, the private and public purse are affected diversely. HATTA is trying to prevent this "strategy of losing" by focusing its power on the continuous tourist evolution for the benefit of both the State and citizens.
IN THE FRONT LINE OF GREEK TOURISM
HATTA participates in national and international Tourist affairs. It is present in every kind of business and social events, which promote tourism. It submits proposals, studies and memorandums to international and national organisations. It expresses its positions with press conferences, announcements, publications and meetings. It exerts its influence to all centers of authority in order to promote tourism.
HATTA also participates in:
- The National Board of Tourism.
- The National Board of Transport on Tourist Affairs.
- The IATA/BSP APJC.
- The Board of Trustees of the Greek National Tourism Organisation Tourist Guide School of Athens.
- The Board of Shipping Agents' and Employees' Social Security Fund.
- The Committee of Law 393.
- The Ministry of Merchant Marine.
- Committee of the Presidential Decree 393/76 formation.
- Prefecture Committees for the Promotion of Tourism.
- Greek National Tourism Organisation's Committee for the attendance of "Culture and Tourism" programme.
- The Board of Trustees of the Tourist Professions School, as well as, in many other organisations, committees and boards related to tourism.
THE ACTIVITIES OF HATTA
Signing of collective Labor bargaining with Unions of:
- Travel Agencies' employees.
- Tourist Guides.
- Legal protection of the benefits of HATTA's members.
- Responsibility to inform the members of the Association on the circulars, decisions and Laws, which concern them directly.
Cooperation with Public Organisations:
- Insurance Funds
- Insurance Companies
- HATTA is an Authorised IATA/UFTAA Training Center.
- Organisation of training seminars.
- Cooperation with all the Travel Associations around the world.
- Publication of the "Syndesmos" ("Association") periodical and dynamic participation of HATTA in the field of Tourist journalism.
70 YEARS IN THE SERVICE OF THE GREEK TOURISM
HATTA, the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies was founded in 1927. Since then, it offers its services to the Greek Tourism ingeniously and in many different ways. Its 1.300 members employ 15.000 people. Undoubtedly, HATTA's contribution to the tourist reality of Greece is determinant
